Backcountry Basics conducts clinics at our 2000 acre training center located in Island Park, Idaho. We will continue to conduct clinics at our original location in McCall, Idaho during selected weeks. Clients can be rest assured that we have covered every aspect to make their time with us a non-logistic enjoyable experience with several convenient locations dispersed throughout the Western, Midwestern and Eastern Regions. Backcountry Basics satellite locations cater Arctic Cat Dealer hosted events along with private and large groups.

BACKCOUNTRY BASICS TRAINING CENTER~ISLAND PARK, IDAHO
As an industry leader in the segment of fundamental snowmobile education we now offer the very first man made snowmobile technical terrain center.

Our Training Center includes an onsite groomer that maintains the technical terrain course. This course is specifically designed for students to master and refine basic backcountry riding skills and techniques.

Just as a professionally trained Olympian athlete will train on the most basic training platform for the "Gold", we to have embraced this training concept and now can deliver it exclusively to our Backcountry Basics clients.

Students will refine and learn new skills safely in our closed course curriculum environment. We have combine advanced teaching concepts with a man made training platform that provide straightforward results efficiently.

The Backcountry Basics Snowmobile Training Center is another product of our innovative drive for daily advancement in snowmobile education. We have been the number one choice for the Novice to Intermediate rider seeking to advance in rider ability and knowledge.

COURSE RATES INCLUDE
Each course includes personalized instruction with the industries first “certified training” instructor, Amber Holt. Her 15 years of training education and experience include advanced training certifications and mastered snowmobiling skills to train a student proficiently.
 
2012 ARCTIC CAT Demo Sleds are available to clients. If a client is considering upgrading to a newer machine, Backcountry Basics encourages clients to try the NEW Arctic Cat 2012 Proclimb.
Clients will experience "hands on" the Proclimbs maneuverable performance to subtle rider input!
 
Prior to attending a registered course, clients receives a detailed "rider evaluation" consultation. This consultation assists in identifying each individual’s limitation zones along with facilitating our clients expectations to overcome these roadblocks.

Backcountry Access provides avalanche safety gear that is incorporated into each Backcountry Basics avalanche awareness course segment. All clients are required to wear a beacon and a pack during the duration of a course and store their probe and shovel inside this pack.

* All clinics reservations are required to have a 50% non-refundable deposit in order to reserve clinic dates.
* Client lodging rates are not included in the above clinic rates, call designated locations for pricing.  
* Up to an $800 expense allowance for Instructor's travel expense are included in select package rates.
* Private and semi privates packages do not include travel expense allowances and travel charges are extra.
